During the filming of 'The Dark Knight was announced that Christopher Nolan directed another film before the third installment of Batman.
'Inception' is a science fiction film and action written by Christopher Nolan himself. Warner Bros bought the rights before any study could have access to the material to continue maintaining the business with Nolan after the massive success of 'The Dark Knight'.
